WrightLeave Text Message Program

WrightLeave is an internal leave-request tool for the Wright State University psychiatry residency. The app itself requires a program login; this public page explains how its optional text messages work.

Who gets texts, and about what

Attending physicians — a short approval follow-up, normally on the next business day at the program's configured daytime hour, when the immediate leave-request email is still unanswered.
Residents — requests to cover a colleague's clinical duties, psychotherapy patients, or Genesis inbox, and confirmations about their own leave requests.

Email, automatic SMS, and resident-sent links

The complete attending approval request is sent by email immediately. Email remains the authoritative workflow notice.
If automatic SMS is enabled and the attending opted in, WrightLeave sends a short one-tap approval link on the next business day while the request is still pending. The program office can choose a single text or another text after each later email reminder.
The requesting resident may separately open a ready-written message and send the same one-tap link from their own phone. WrightLeave does not send that manual resident message.
If an attending has not opted in, the resident can also text them the public opt-in page from their own phone. The attending enters their name and mobile number and consents themselves; no WrightLeave account, sign-in, or confirmation email is required.

How opt-in works

Texting is optional. Program members who do not opt in continue to receive the workflow notification by email.
Texts go only to program members who have provided their mobile number and agreed to receive WrightLeave workflow texts. Consent is never pre-checked or assumed.
The public sign-up page matches the person's name to the program roster. Ambiguous names require a more complete name rather than guessing.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out (one final confirmation, then no further texts), HELP for help, START to re-subscribe.

Frequency, cost, and privacy

Message frequency varies with leave-request activity and the program's reminder setting — typically a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
